ABOUT BEYOND THINKING
Beyond Thinking is an Anti-Racist coaching and facilitation practice.
Casey Tonnelly, Founder
Casey Tonnelly has established a reputation as an innovative, collaborative, and passionate champion of equity and justice. They have been working in racial justice spaces for twenty years. They are rooted in philosophies of humility, gratitude, and our collective humanity. Casey’s beginnings in antiracism work began accidentally and with resistance when they were called upon to facilitate anti-profiling trainings for the Seattle Police Department. During that time, they realized their life’s purpose: to stand in solidarity with antiracism champions, especially, their Black and Brown siblings. Casey had the privilege of engaging in the city of Seattle’s Race & Social Initiative (RSJI) for over a decade, culminating in working for the Office for Civil Rights on the RSJI Strategy Team before launching Beyond Thinking. Casey chose coaching because it was where they had experienced the greatest transformation in their own learning and when working with others.
Casey became a certified coach through iPEC in 2019, an associate certified coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) in 2020, and a professionally certified coach through ICF in 2022, and is working towards becoming a master coach!
